How to Properly Store Your THCA Flower for Maximum Freshness

Even the best flower can lose its edge if it's stored the wrong way. A few simple habits go a long way toward preserving flavor, aroma, and potency.

Keep It Airtight and Dark

Light and air are two of the biggest enemies of fresh flower. UV exposure breaks down cannabinoids and terpenes over time, while excess airflow dries buds out and dulls their aroma. An opaque, airtight glass jar is one of the simplest upgrades you can make over a plastic bag or clear container.

Watch Your Temperature and Humidity

Flower stored in a cool, stable environment — ideally between 60-70°F with humidity in the 55-62% range — holds onto its terpene profile far better than flower left in a hot car or a damp bathroom cabinet. Humidity packs are an inexpensive way to maintain consistent moisture levels inside your storage jar.

Don't Overhandle It

Trichomes, the frosty crystals that carry much of a strain's potency and flavor, are fragile. Excessive handling or repackaging can knock them loose, so it's best to portion out what you need and leave the rest undisturbed in its container.
